COWI Fiber Transmission Project
RuCon Engineers was awarded a contract to provide engineering and inspection services for a 364 Mile Interstate Data Transmission Line in Central Oregon and Western Idaho. The 100% underground project route consisted of diverse terrain and topography and crossed miles of National Forest, BLM, and other federal lands.
To accomplish this challenging task, RuCon Engineers implemented a state-of-the-art GIS based mapping and documentation system. This system utilized customized esri tools and dashboards to collect real time construction data, inspection reports and as-built information to streamline the information flow throughout the project.
